Gratitude List 1109: Photo Walks, Meditation, More Time, Tides, and Communion
I get to walk together with a person who has a similar yet different eye. We often choose the same subjects for our photos with very different outcomes.
A naturally meditative quiet has been creeping into my habits. While I fill our water jug or even scoop cat litter, I notice the sound of my body in space, the meter of my breath, and the narrator in my mind goes quiet.
There is more time when the narrator in your mind goes quiet.
Some things have fallen apart for me, but for the first time I feel the ebb and flow of destruction/construction. The tide will bring me back.
I accidentally discovered a form of meditation: my eyes follow the natural shapes of buildings, sculptures, trees, etc, and I allow my breath to draw slowly along those same lines, inhaling up a sweeping curve, perhaps, and then exhaling along past the turn of an angle. In a way this lets me join with what I witness like a communion.
