Wage a battle against embitterment and take part in Grace in Small Things, a community for acknowledging and growing gratitude.

  1. There is a haze from the 121 northern forest fires that are burning in Saskatchewan right now. It's a little hard to breathe, but the quality of light filtered through the smoke is kind of magical.
  2. Roasted yam, walnut, and cranberry salad is brilliant.
  3. A kitty cat bounded out from under a car to head-butt my leg and then ran back into his shade.
  4. A man on a motorbike rumbled up to a stop light next to me, and he was blasting 1940s Big Band music. I gave him a thumbs-up.
  5. My brother called and told me about all the fun he and his wife and kids are going to have this summer, and I love hearing about the joy he finds with them.
