Daily Doodle No. 8: Manitoba Is My New Hang, Because Nephews Are Too Cool
I spent over eight-and-a-half hours in the back seat of my parents' car today while we drove to stay over at my brother and sister-in-law's house to take care of my nephews for about five days. My doodle above is meant to depict the hours and hours of dirty snow and pale sky pocked with leafless shrubs and trees that I watched while I willed away carsickness.
It was all worth it, though, because I got kisses from both nephews, two years old and 10 months old respectively, and that is golden.
On top of kisses, I got to play firemen with bendy figures that have their own pole and sing "Little Rabbit Foo Foo", which really is a life highlight I would never pass up.
Tomorrow, I will buckle back down into work and meetings in a little tech nest I've built for myself in the basement and leave my parents to the child-rearing for a day.
I love the idea of a tech nest. I feel like it calls for a wacky outsider scientist type hat with unexplained gadgets and mirrors attached on extendible arms with elbow joints.
