Daily Doodle No. 7: Completely Broke With Broken Stuff

After yesterday's series of unfortunate incidents, I had great hopes for today. Three bad things in a row is a complete set, right? Wrong.

Today, on Day Two of my trip, my bank card stopped working, because I am apparently the kind of person who can deposit $2800 in cheques and have the bank add that up to being $1700 in the hole. I would explain how this can happen, but after speaking with four customer service representatives over two hours, all I know is that I'm supposed to trust them that it will all be sorted out within a couple of days, math is not one of my best abilities, and sometimes numbers makes me cry on a blueberry muffin.

Then, I tried to conduct a training session over a Google Hangout, but my laptop screen froze up, and then it went all sparkly, and then, after restarting, my computer tried to pretend it didn't run Windows anymore and was now only going to pose as a really fancy task manager. My laptop is mysteriously working again, but I feel betrayed. Our trust bond is broken. Oh, Laptop, why hast thou forsaken me?

And that is how it came to pass that I ate only pastries and muffins all day. You want to know something. Cream cheese danishes make life better.

Tomorrow is Day Three of my trip, which involves me travelling in a car with my parents for eight-and-a-half hours from Saskatchewan to Manitoba.

I should have bought more cream cheese danishes.
