Aidan's Camera In Leopold's At Night
Aidan and I went out with friends to Leopold's Tavern tonight. The light was dim to dark in the pub, which meant my iPhone 5 photos would likely turn out pretty fuzzy, so I decided to test out the Cortex Camera app, which layers dozens of photos together to purportedly cancel out noise.
After trying it out a few times, I am definitely impressed with its noise cancellation. Once you hit the camera button, it takes about 3 seconds to take all the photos for layering, and it only takes a couple of seconds more for it to process your photo, which is quicker than I thought it would be. What I liked most, though, is that I didn't even have to hold my phone terribly steady to come out with a clear image.
You'll have to forgive me if I run around taking a ton of night photos now. This is like a revelation. Low light photos don't necessarily have to be grainy messes anymore!
