82/365: Learning to Play Again

arty photo of my serious face 2

Yesterday,
and for many months before,
I was a hungry mouth.
I ate, I spat out, I consumed.

Today,
I want to be an ear.
I have forgotten what it is outside
that makes what I take in good.
I forgot how to play with and in the world.

May I teach
my breath
to amplify
what I hear.

It is time.
