Tonight Is Hard, And That Is Okay

Tonight is hard.

dramatis personæ

I am here to say out loud that it is okay for tonight to be hard. It makes it easier once it's out loud and I'm not the only one who knows. It means I won't have to add on the extra pain of smiling through it.

Please don't worry, though. This is just a bump in the seasonal depression road, or rather a dip. It happens.

I think I just wanted to come out with it, because I feel better when I know that I am not as alone as it might seem. Maybe one or more of you out there is feeling less than great, too, and if I say it, maybe you'll feel less alone. We can all be in this together right now, even if it's only through our little, glowy boxes.

November can be hard, people, and it's not because we're terrible. Depression is a sneaky bastard, but we'll get through this. Just hang on through the harder parts with the ones of us who get it.

Let's meet for breakfast in the a.m. when the storm passes.

I am taking part in NaBloPoMo, National Blog Posting Month, which has me posting a blog entry every day throughout the month of November.
